Constructed mainly of plywood and registered with the California Department of Motor Vehicles, I towed the ersatz pop-up camper folded in for transport through the streets of my day-to-day life to take on only the burdens associated with owning an RV - maneuverability, safety, storage, lowered fuel economy and minor maintenance.
